Submission Information:

Submissions for the Astra Film Awards open on Monday, October 13, 2025. Any film released between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025 is eligible.
Each winning entry will receive a single statuette. *Additional statuettes can be ordered by the studio, agent, publicist, or winner’s request for a flat fee of $250 per statue.

Entry Fees:

There is a submission fee of $300 to enter a film for consideration. Each submission covers the following primary categories: Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Director, and either Best Adapted Screenplay or Best Original Screenplay. In addition, all submitted films will automatically be eligible for any remaining in-competition categories such as Best Animated Feature, Best International Feature, Best Comedy or Musical, etc. A full list of categories along with the number of nominees in each category can be found below:

  • Tuesday, November 25, 2025 – Astra Film Awards Nominations Revealed at 10am PT
  • Wednesday, November 26, 2025 – Final Voting for Astra Film Awards Opens
  • Sunday, November 30, 2025 – Final Voting for Astra Film Awards Closes
  • Monday, December 8, 2025 – 2025 Astra Film Awards Ceremony

Ways to submit videos:
  • Use our Indee Screening Platform under “Astra Screeners”
  • Provide a digital link to access the screener.
  • Provide an FYC app or website with all required login information.
  • Video Quality: 720p, 1080p, or 4K.
  • Video Format: MP4 or MOV.
  • Audio Codec: Stereo or 5.1 Sound.
  • The file size should be under 35GB.
  • All video submissions should include beginning and end credits.
  • Closed Captioning is preferred.
*If digital screeners are not yet available, nominating committee members can receive invites to attend in-person screenings.
